Isaiah 57:15

Isaiah 57:15 was one of Clyde Cranford's favorite verses. I was blessed to share a couple of devotions today at Bethlehem, and unpacked this verse for the second one. I forgot to share Clyde's poem at the end. Here it is:

He dwells above the twinkling stars
in radiance untold
Yet condescends to name them all,
the silver and the gold

What wonder that He stoops again
to look upon the earth,
Even down to lowly sinful man
to bring Messiah's birth

Yet lower still He makes a home
with those who feel their shame,
and gathers them within His arms
though Holy is His Name.
