Sermon Snippet

Last evening I mentioned a few examples of the disparity between the biblical gospel and the false gospels of today. Please feel free to provide additional examples...
➢ The Biblical gospel says, “Come to Christ and be freed to make much of God."
The false gospel says, “Come to Christ and He will join you in making much of yourself.”

➢ The Biblical gospel says, “Your greatest need is a great view of God.”
The false gospel says, “God’s greatest need is a great view of you.”

➢ The Biblical gospel says, “The display of the glory of God’s grace in the cross of Christ is primarily for God’s glory.”
The false gospel says, “The display of the grace of God in the cross of Christ was primarily because He couldn’t imagine heaven without me.”

➢ The Biblical gospel says, “The chief end of man is to glorify God.”
The false gospel says, “The chief end of God is to glorify man.”

The false gospel says, "I go to church."

The bible gospel says, "I fellowship with believers alongside my personal sanctification and pursuit of God and His glory through Jesus Christ in a fruitful changed life by the the atonement of Christ in a radical style of life apart from the world."

The false gospel through an investment broker says "Yeah, I love Jesus man, so, when you gonna come buy and talk stalks and invest in some CD's or long term retirement goals etc, sorry I don't have time to come to your men's group and study God's word with you but please, invest with me at my company, remember, I am a man of God as well as you."

Bible gospel says "I will not use God in my company as a slogan to gain investments and a yearly bonus, I might even consider another profession."
