Tonight was the first ever Grace Party for Grace Church.
The parties are designed to celebrate God and His work. My only regret about tonight's party is that we did not record Angie Smith's powerful testimony of her God-given love to Christ, her radical embrace of God's sovereign gift to her of suffering, and the delightful tone with which she spoke of family devotions with Bryan and the kids. Thank you Angie. Thank you God. What a joy!
The first cycle of Grace Groups, which are the small group ministry of Grace Church, were also unveiled at the party tonight. I look forward with eager anticipation to enjoying the benefit of walking together for the next 12 weeks through an introduction to a Biblical view of God, self, sin, and salvation in these groups.
