Over the past decade I've had the joy (and heartache) of speaking at well over 300 youth events. Because I too have plead with a broken heart for teenagers to awaken from their spiritual stupor, I have a unique joy in recommending to you one of the best evangelistic sermons I've heard in a very long time...a sermon that earned this Christian youth communicator the infamous "never invite back" reward.
Consider giving this sermon to any and every unconverted person you know...especially those who are duped by the rampant false gospel of easy-believism.

"I want you to know that the greatest heresy in the American evangelical and protestant church is that, if you pray and ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart, He will definitely come in. You will not find that in any place in Scripture. You will not find that anywhere in Baptist history until about 50 years ago. What you need to know is that salvation is by faith and faith alone in Jesus Christ. And faith alone in Jesus Christ is preceded and followed by repentance . . . a turning away from sin, a hatred for the things that God hates and a love for the things that God loves, a growing in holiness and a desire not to be like Britney Spears, not to be like the world, and not to be like the great majority of American Christians, but to be like Jesus Christ!"
Thank you for this Jordan. What a MUCH NEEDED word for us today...in our country. We all need to hear this.
Thank you for this sermon link. I will be ordering copies and sharing them with my youth group. This sermon reminds me somewhat of Reidhead's "Ten shekels and a Shirt", convicting and encouraging at the same time! Thank you and God bless!
